HE WAS AWARDED INDIA'S HIGHEST CIVILIAN HONOUR BHARAT RATNA.
HE BELONGED TO INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS AND HAS SERVED AS FINANCE MINISTER( 24 JANUARY 2009 - 24 JULY 2012). AND AS DEFENCE MINISTER( 24 MAY 2004 -26 OCTOBER 2006) AND AS MINISTER OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (24 OCTOBER 2006- 22 MAY 2009).
HE WILL BE ALWAYS REMEMBERED IN HISTORY OF INDIA.
